A surgical solution for stress urinary incontinence
The Burch colposuspension is a laparoscopic procedure that lifts and supports the tissue around the bladder neck to correct stress urinary incontinence — leakage of urine during coughing, sneezing, laughing, or exercise. Sutures are placed to anchor the vaginal wall to a stable pelvic ligament, restoring the normal angle of support.
